The word Akasha comes from Sanskrit, meaning “ether,” “sky,” or “atmosphere.” In Indian spiritual tradition, it refers to a non-physical space beyond what we can see or touch. The Akashic Records are believed to exist within this field, preserving the complete history of each soul: its thoughts, words, actions, intentions, lessons, and experiences across lifetimes.
Each soul has its own Akashic Records: a sacred and personal account of its journey from past to present lives. These Records have always existed, whether we are aware of them or not, and anyone with an open and willing heart and mind may access their own Records.
The Akashic Records, Explained: Meaning, Origins, and Purpose
So what are the Akashic Records, once you look past the term itself?
I do not view them as a modern spiritual invention. This energetic field has existed since the inception of life, although different traditions have developed their own ways of accessing parts of the same spiritual information.
At their core:
- What the Records contain: Each soul’s thoughts, actions, intentions, experiences, lessons, choices and unresolved issues across lifetimes.
- Who has Akashic Records: Humans, animals, plants, and spaces each have their own Records; essentially, anything with energy has its own Akashic Records.
- Who cares for them: Your Akashic Masters, a group of Pure Light Divine Beings from the fifth dimension and above, protect the integrity of your Records and work in service of your highest good. We may also label them as “Divine team”, “Guides”, or any term which we feel comfortable with. We may or may not know them personally. Akashic Masters include your Angelic team, Galactic team, Archangels, Angels, Ascended Masters, Dragons, Vibrant Ancestors, and more.
- Why people access them: To access the highest truth for various purposes, such as exploring their life purpose(s), healing emotional wounds, identifying & overcoming the root causes of recurring difficulties, receiving clarity on important choices, deepening their connection with the Divine within & around them, co-creating their best life with the Divine, and living to their highest potential.
What Do the Akashic Records Tell You?
The Records do not merely recount what happened in another lifetime; it goes beyond sharing about past lives. They provide the highest truth in every situation and relationship. This allows us to garner higher perspectives on every situation and relationship, including the root cause for our challenges, key lessons to be learned and how we may fully heal and overcome these issues.
As the higher perspectives illuminate our hearts & minds, we are able to make present choices and decisions from a place of clarity, wisdom and trust. The guidance often supports your growth and transformation. Your Akashic Masters may advise you of your different options available, but they do not make your decisions for you. They respect your free will, and you are empowered to decide on your next steps.
You May Have Already Touched the Records Without Knowing It
Have you ever woken from a dream with a clear sense of what to do next? Or noticed that after meditation, painting, playing music, or doing something you enjoy, a problem suddenly becomes easier to understand?
In that flow state as you engage in those activities, you may feel calmer, see the situation differently, or feel certain about your next step despite the earlier confusion.
Experiences like these may be brief, unintentional access to the Akashic Records. A formal reading allows you to have a more intentional access for a sustained period of time. The reading centres on the questions, decisions, or recurring issues you want to explore.
How to Prepare for Your First Akashic Records Session
During our session, I will access your Akashic Records on your behalf and share the messages received from your Akashic Masters. You do not need to know how to open or navigate the Records yourself; simply come with an open heart & mind and prepare your questions.
1. Set Aside Time Before the Session to Reflect on What You Want to Work On
Before your session, write down 3-5 questions in which you are seeking deeper clarity, wisdom and guidance. Your questions do not need to be perfectly expressed. Focus on what you truly want to work on right now.
At times, your Akashic Masters may guide your reading toward one central issue, revealing its root cause, the soul lessons connected to it, and how you may fully heal and overcome this issue. The reading may therefore move beyond your prepared questions and towards what serves your highest good.
2. Your Consent Opens the Space
I will only access your Akashic Records with your consent, which is automatically provided as you purchase a session for yourself and schedule an appointment via Calendly link with me. Your willingness grants sacred permission for your Records to be accessed and for your Akashic Masters to share the guidance intended for you through me as a messenger.
3. After the Session, Allow the Guidance to Continue Unfolding
After your Akashic Records reading, take a few minutes to record the key takeaways that came through during the session, including any other messages, emotions or images that came to your mind, or any sensations in your body.
Be open to the possibility that more Divine guidance may come forth after the session, as you go about your life. For example, messages may come forth in your conversations with others, a text that catches your attention, images, numbers or sounds. This is normal and part of the post-session integration.
You may want to journal down your experiences. Dating each entry allows you to return to the guidance later, especially when its relevance becomes clearer through your experiences and choices that follow.
Not every message will make complete sense straight away. Some may speak directly to what you are facing now, while others may reveal their significance in Divine timing. Allow the guidance to unfold organically, and revisit it as needed.
A recording will be provided to you after each session. This allows you to replay the session at your convenience, to gain deeper insights and clarity.
What Receiving Information From the Records Can Be Like
Guidance from the Akashic Records will reach you through your psychic ability that feels most natural and developed to you.
Most of us will receive the messages through our intuition, via our inner knowing. As we refine our energies, it will sharpen and expand our range of psychic abilities. We may develop our inner sight (see images, colours, symbols, places), our inner hearing, our inner taste, our inner smell and/or our inner sensations (sense emotions, energies, discomfort, bodily changes in ourselves and others).
You may also notice physical sensations such as tingling, goosebumps, warmth, or a current of energy moving through your body. Every person’s experience is unique; there is no need to compare what you receive with another person’s experience. Focus on being present, trust what is being shown, and allow the guidance to reveal itself as necessary and at an appropriate timing.
Letting Go of Fear and Learning to Trust What You Receive
Often, when we first access our Akashic Records, the mind may seek external proof & validation that every message is real and correct. The Akashic Records are not received through mental analysis alone. Importantly, we need to develop an openness of heart & mind to simply trust our intuition, receive and note them down as it is.
Do not dismiss an image, feeling, sensation or message simply because it seems unfamiliar. Write it down, reflect on it, and give yourself time to see how it relates to your life. As your connection deepens, you become better able to distinguish between fear, mental chatter, and the quiet, peaceful, safe and loving guidance of your Akashic Masters.
Trust is not blind belief. It is built through consistent practice, openness of heart & mind, self-reflection, and an ongoing relationship with the Divine.
Is It Possible to Encounter Negative Energies in the Akashic Records?
The Akashic Records exist within the higher realms of consciousness, which feels deeply peaceful, safe, loving, and protective. The Akashic Records are guarded by Pure Light Divine Beings and are accessed only to the extent necessary and in service of your soul’s highest good.
If you attempt to access your own Akashic Records and experience intensified fear, heaviness, or distressing imagery, you may not be truly accessing your Akashic Records. Just because someone labelled a meditation recording as “Akashic Records” does not mean it truly provides entry to the Akashic Records realm.
