What am I grateful for in 2021?

How quickly time flew by this year. In a week’s time, we will be wrapping up 2021, and looking forward to 2022.

How has this year unfolded for everyone? Have we been busy battling the storms brought forth by the Covid-related drama? Or have we been tuning in to ourselves & our intuition, amidst the external chaos? Or have we found ourselves shuffling in between, at times feeling fearful & unsettled, and at other times feeling calm & peaceful?

Whatever the case may be, there is no need to judge ourselves for all that had happened. Rather, there is so much to be thankful about, for the learning opportunities that paved our way in times of hardship, trials & tribulations.

Looking back, the difficult moments this year have definitely reshaped my beliefs & perspectives towards myself, as well as others around me. Because of all these precious experiences, I am no longer the same person that I was at the start of 2021. I have grown so much in terms of self-realizations, and to open my heart to feel the love & gratitude towards others around me. I have found peace & closure towards painful experiences in the past, and forgiven all who have hurt or let me down.

It is finally time to move on. I am closing a chapter of the past, and opening a new chapter filled with new beginnings, exciting opportunities, love, hope, joy and freedom. Created by myself & for myself, for I am deserving & worthy of it all.

It is timely for me to reflect on what I am grateful for in 2021, and to immerse myself in this beautiful feeling of gratitude.

(1) Grateful for everything that my parents have done for me

At the top of my list, I would like to share my immense gratitude towards my parents, for all the help that they have rendered to me this year. As many of you may know, I am unvaccinated, hence I have been facing the brunt of all the exclusionary measures targeting the unvaccinated persons in my country. This included exclusion from shopping malls, attractions, dining at hawker centers, physical workplaces, overseas travel and the like. Needless to say, it has been extremely inconvenient for me to even acquire my basic necessities, whilst coping with the external restrictions everywhere.

Despite making the switch to online grocery shopping, at times it is still more convenient to have access to supermarkets located in the shopping malls, to purchase fresh organic vegetables and fruits for my needs. Thankfully, I could rely on my parents to cycle to a nearby shopping mall to acquire these fresh items on my behalf every week. Because of them, I get to enjoy fresh organic vegan meals regularly, which is a precious blessing not to be taken lightly.

Just this year alone, I have improved so much in terms of my physical health. I have regained my stamina which I lost a few years back, which is maintained nowadays through daily jogging or brisk-walking, adopting a generally healthy diet, drinking clean & structured water, and trying out trustworthy herbal products to purify & sustain my physical vessel. Compared to last year, my physical body is definitely in a better condition this year.

My good health is also partly contributed by my parents, who selflessly ensured that I am well fed with fresh organic vegan meals, even though they are not vegetarians themselves. I am grateful for their open-mindedness in accepting & embracing my dietary preferences, and for proactively assisting me to gather these groceries on my behalf every week.

(2) Grateful for the non-judgmental colleagues in the workplace

With the government taking a tough stance towards the unvaccinated persons, frankly it has not been easy surviving as an unvaccinated person in my country. The top-down mandate for everyone to be vaccinated is keenly felt everywhere, including the workplace policies which now differentiate the treatment between vaccinated & unvaccinated persons. As of this year, all unvaccinated persons have to undergo twice a week Antigen Rapid Test (ART) even though everyone has been working from home as a default. In addition, such testing needs to be supervised by a designated colleague, who will then declare the results & upload the documentary proof on the person’s behalf, onto an online portal.

At first glance, it obviously intensifies the pressure for the unvaccinated persons to be vaccinated immediately, to avoid putting themselves through such rigorous testing, and to implicate another colleague in this twice a week ordeal. Starting next year, all unvaccinated persons are not allowed to return to the workplace, unless a negative Pre-Event Testing (PET) result is obtained 24 hours prior, with an approved test provider and at their own costs.

Thankfully, this year, I have undergone the twice a week ART amicably, supervised by a colleague who has been rather patient, accepting and open-minded towards my predicament. It could have been worse. I am grateful at how everything unfolded well, far better than expected. My boss even gave the green light for me to continue to work from home starting next year, subject to periodic review. With things heating up next year, I sincerely hope & pray that everything will unfold to the highest good of all unvaccinated employees, and for them to be offered karmic grace & dispensation if the need arises. Similarly, I pray for the highest protection to be offered to all employees, should they decide to exercise their free will & choice to deviate from the vaccination policy any time.

In times of darkness & difficulty, always remember that it is our birth right, and a universal law, for us to exercise our free will & choice as divine, sovereign individuals. No one can take our power away from us, unless we permit them to do so. As many of us slowly awaken to the truth within & around us, it is timely for us to reconsider our earlier decisions made, and whether we need to readjust our perspectives in view of the latest information available. As always, the choice remains with us.

(3) Grateful to step fully into my authentic self

This year, I am thankful to have the courage & power to step fully into my authentic self, in terms of expressing myself to others around me. If you have been following my blog posts for awhile, you probably noticed that I changed my writing style, from a generic channeled writing, to a more personal sharing of my story weaved in between channeled messages.

It was a deliberate decision for me to change my writing style, in order to focus on my healing work deeply, and to allow others to benefit from my experiences as well. I don’t subscribe to the belief that everyone has to suffer in order to grow. If there is an easier way out to learn through someone else’s experience, why not? Therefore, in this space, I seek to share my experiences, together with the insights & wisdom gained, to hopefully benefit anyone who is meant to read them. As always, I encourage you to practice a healthy dose of skepticism; take only what you need at every moment.

For many years, I grew up in a conforming culture, where I never felt comfortable to reveal my authentic self. I often felt like I was trying very hard to fit into someone else’s shoes & ideals of perfection. I never knew how it feels like to just be myself – loving & accepting all parts of myself as who I am. As I continue to work deeply on myself, I realised how much societal programming, family conditioning, old/false beliefs & expectations of others that I have been carrying with me all these years. The truth is, I can choose to let go of what no longer serves me; I don’t have to carry the baggage of others for life. It also made me realise who I am at the core of my being – a free soul of divine creation & expression.

I am free. I choose to be free. I embrace my freedom. I do not allow the opinions & judgements of others to weigh me down.

In the days ahead, I seek to explore my innermost thoughts, emotions & feelings, bringing them to the light. In my journey towards self-mastery, I will continue to explore various topics that speak to my heart & align to the truth within me. I am grateful for the opportunity to co-create with my Akashic Masters to share my story and to contribute my light to the world.
