In recent years, there have been massive changes everywhere, as countries struggled to combat with the worsening Covid-19 situation. In the mainstream media, it was claimed that Covid-19 was a “novel” coronavirus, in which an experimental vaccine appears to be the only cure & long-term solution to eradicate the virus and save the masses.
This version of truth had encouraged or even compelled many people to opt for the experimental vaccine. Many leaders stepped forth to take the jab, which were broadcasted nationwide, in order to garner widespread support for the vaccine. As the number of infected cases soared and resulted in a huge demand over limited hospital beds, ventilators & healthcare facilities, the initial resistance of many people towards the “unknown” vaccine gave way to a willingness to try. As governments ramp up their efforts to strongly encourage their citizens to be vaccinated, we are witnessing an increasing proportion of adult population in many countries becoming fully vaccinated. In a short span of time, the balance has been tilted towards the overwhelming majority who chose to be vaccinated for various reasons. Be it reduced risks of death or serious illnesses, reduced risks of infection of self & others, societal or peer pressures, or any other reason.
In recent months, we have also witnessed new strains of virus emerging, rising cases of infection even among the vaccinated, and the necessity for booster shots, leading to questions on the effectiveness of vaccines as a long-term strategy.
At this juncture, it is perhaps timely for us to take a step back and consider whether the vaccination campaign has benefited us, individually and collectively.

With many versions of Truth being shared in the mainstream and alternative media, what is and should be the Truth? 🤔
For example, is it true that:
- Covid-19 is a “novel” coronavirus that was first discovered in China?
- Taking the vaccine will reduce the risk of infection of self & others?
- Taking the vaccine will reduce the risk of death or serious illnesses?
- The experimental vaccine, including booster shots, is the best and most effective solution to prevent the spread of Covid-19?
- The benefits of the vaccine outweigh any potential risks & side-effects?
- The vaccine triumphs over the body’s natural immunity and ability to heal itself?
It is perhaps also timely for us to consider the version of Truth that we have subscribed to, in the context of Covid-19.
The purpose of today’s sharing is not so much as to opine on what is and should be the Truth regarding Covid-19. Rather, we see Covid-19 as presenting a precious opportunity for us to gently look inwards and observe our own perception of Truth.
It raises interesting questions, such as:
- What is the Truth?
- How do I know if my version of Truth is correct?
- How do I align myself with the highest version of Truth at every moment?
Let’s explore each of these questions further.
I. What is the Truth?

Most people believe the Truth to be the ultimate set of facts that is beyond all doubt and dispute. The one endearing answer that can withstand all debates, arguments and scrutiny.
In reality, the Truth can also be multi-faceted, changing, fluid & flexible, depending on the lenses we see, the belief systems we hold, the information we allow, and the society we live in which shapes & influences us, knowingly or unknowingly. In essence, it is a mix of factors which shape a person’s perception of what the Truth is and should be.
Therefore, based on each person’s unique mix of factors, everyone will have their own version of what Truth is and should be.
A person’s perception of Truth is also influenced by the concepts of resonance and repetition. “Resonance” refers to a person’s vibrational energies within, which attracts similar energies externally, because “like attracts the like”. “Repetition” refers to the overlapping and repeated information of a similar type that we receive over a period of time, which reinforces us to believe that such information is factual and credible. For example, the concept of repetition is frequently used in the advertisement strategies deployed by major brands, to reinforce their brand appeal to their target segment. Through repetition, it becomes ingrained in us that say, a Nike logo is synonymous with passion, action, ambition and achievement, paired with the words “just do it”. Or the sunshine yellow M against a bright red background, with themed birthday bashes and generous sponsorships for children, which then subtly promotes a happy & cheerful acceptance of a less than guilt-free “happy meal”.
II. How do I know if my version of Truth is correct?

First, we need to spend time to observe ourselves at a deeper level. As we go through the day, we can check in with our mind and ask ourselves from time to time:
- Is this the Truth?
- What makes me think that this is the Truth?
- Where did these beliefs come from? Are these beliefs still correct, relevant & updated as far as I am aware?
This process helps us to be mindfully aware of our current beliefs: where we probably took them from, whether these are still applicable, and how these shape our current perception of Truth. Else, our mind usually runs on autopilot.
As we familiarise ourselves with how our mind works, it helps us to be more nimble and accepting towards the versions of Truth held by ourselves and others at every moment.
At a personal level, it helps us to detach our human ego from any version of Truth that we currently subscribe to, as it is neither an ultimate Truth nor a reflection of ourselves. Rather, we are free to flexibly adjust our version of Truth at every moment, based on the changing facts & information that we have received. We do not need to feel obliged to cling on to an outdated version of Truth that we previously subscribed to, just for the sake of it.
At the collective level, it helps us to understand that everyone has their unique perception of Truth, thereby influencing them to believe and act in the way they did. It helps us to feel neutral and even compassionate towards others who subscribe to a different version of Truth at every moment. We do not need to judge or ridicule them, just to prove that we are right and they are wrong; we could just be looking from different perspectives based on our unique experiences. We are also able to hold the space for ourselves and others to re-learn and re-discover the Truth at every moment.
III. How do I align myself with the highest version of Truth at every moment?

By keeping an open heart & mind to re-learn and re-discover our version of Truth at every moment.
The key is to understand what is blocking us from receiving the highest version of Truth at the moment. In reality, the Truth is usually available, but it may not always be noticeable to us for various reasons. At a deeper level, we may not be ready to accept and embrace the Truth, and what it really means for ourselves and others around. For example, what if the person whom we love deeply, may be happier on his/her own or with someone else? What if the Truth requires us to take actions that we may not be prepared to take, as it may force us to face our fear of being judged or rejected? The Truth may not always be a fairytale story with a perfect ending; it may not always be aligned to what we want. Are we then ready to receive it?
